Before changing the oil, you must place the engine in operation until the normal working temperature is reached. Turn off the engine and remove the carter plug and filter. Before installing the new filter, place clean oil to the surface of the rubber joint. To remove the filter, there is a tool that has a chain or tape at its end, which fits the filter to remove or place it. The Carter cap has a copper or wasola or other soft metal that you should change to avoid leaks. If you can verify the part of the filter, it would be important to be able to acquire it in the market, or request for the model and year of the vehicle. The torque or filter tightening is 12-16 Nm (9-12 lb/ft) or hand pressure. The carter plug is 35-45 Nm (25-33 lb/ft). The type of oil is between 10 and 15 since more viscosity instead of helping the engine causes damage to hydraulic taes. If you bought it new, it should be specified on a self -adhesive label installed within the door or in the car capot, the type of oil, pressure of pneumatic ones, etc. Once you have verified that there are no leaks, you must write down the current mileage plus the difference until the new change, thus avoiding that your engine deteriorates prematurely. Remember to work with the engine off and take care not to burn since it hurts.
