Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Cut in the Carter
What car are we talking about? What material is the carter made? aluminum or stamped sheet?

In any case, look in the scrapping, sometimes they are perfect solutions since the carter does not wear out or breaks unless a blow is taken.

If it is stamped, you can weld with a mig mag and it would be perfect, with electrode it depends on the welder's expertise because they can be pores.

If it is aluminum and no piece is missing, it can be welded with the autogenous torch, or with a tig arc, but there is a task of professionals because aluminum is very difficult to weld.

A remedy for aluminum are the bicomponent epoxic resins (let's go from a lifetime or araldit or ceys that fixes everything everything ... hahahaha)

but insist, first look to see if there is a crack of scrapping and then take one of the options that I have told you, if something you have to weld and the carter is made of a sheet, trust in a locksmith because it has the machines and the ability to do it.

All the best.
