FORD FOCUS TDCI 1.8 ADMISSION NOISE EGR? Posted by manual-mecanica
Hello colleagues:

My father has a Ford Focus 1.8 TDCI 2003 that brings me down the street of bitterness ...

it turns out that after leaving the distribution we put a second -hand engine and has lasted a year now makes a noise as if it were a gripped bearing but what is my surprise when starting to disassemble:
Well, once the intercooler has taken away I real Once this blows and this, the noise, which seemed like a fluy bearing
and my question is:
Do you know what happens? Does it have something to do with the EGR?

Thanks colleagues in advance for your wisdom and understanding

hi how are things.
I think it can be a problem of loss of tanching of the combustion camera of some of the cylinders so I recommend you perform a pressure test to each cylinder, dismantling each incondent spark plug and introducing air to pressure from more than one bar with the piston at its upper dead point in the compression race, and tries to feel if you feel leaks towards the multiple and if the difference between the cylinders is not Detect a stew pee by valves.
luck......

I think they go there the shots should not be very disenchanted. In case they are the exhaust valves that do not close, why can it be? And why don't you always? At low revolutions there is nothing to show with the variable distribution ????

Thanks again

Sipilis may have to do with open distribution, but it can also happen that some admission valve is not closing as it is and is open in comprehensive, this produces exploits by the admission, another thing is that the fluctioner or some of the empty is in poor condition.

It seems to me that it is rather the second because I have disassembled the distribution and balancing lid and in principle is everything correct and one of the solenoid makes a noise that I do not know if it is normal so I will start investigating there
