Subaru Forester to LPG problem published by Manual-Mecanica
Greetings friends; I am here because I have a problem with my car with 75,000 km and the last 17,000 to LPG adapted by BRC.
When reluctantly vibrates as if he wanted to click both in gas and gasoline and a mechanic friend who put the computer him, he says that he is a internal problem of cylinder head, valves or similar. He says that the admission pressure that should be around 700 is in 400.
The car goes fine when you accelerate without noticing anything abnormal or loss of power or anything and they have told me everything; Check the engine compression immediately, to clean the admission, butterfly ducts, connections, etc. And I will take it to the Subaru as soon as possible to blame for what they can find.

I have reached who looking for a manual to see if it helps me can clean the admission ducts; Something is what I learned with cars 40 years ago, but now those of now throw me with so much electronics ... with how easy it was to regulate platinos or put to turn turning that of theco;))))

greetings to all and a thousand forgives for my opportunism.

Manual-Mecanica Response on the problem with Subaru Forester to LPG
I think your vehicle has the same problem as most taxis adapted to LPG with the BRC brand. This brand is characterized by not making any gasoline contribution throughout the engine operation. There are others such as Landirenzo, which from time to time, provides mili seconds of gasoline to the engine and that manages to refrigerate and clean the valve seat and even the head of the pistons, avoiding the wear of the latter and getting compression that the compression is of good quality. Here in Barcelona they advise you (if you have a BRC team) is to put an additive, which has an supplier deposit, but if you want to save, for me it is no longer worth. The ours in MasterTaxi is to cook and valve seats. Look at the www.mastexi.com and call us, we will inform you without any commitment

Manual-Mecanica Response on the problem with Subaru Forester to LPG
Thank you. What you propose to inject a certain amount of gasoline is just what is around my head since I learned that you can; There is an option in programming, I think it is called VRC that allows you to mix a thorn of gasoline with the LPG, something like 2 or 3% of the amount that ECU determines of LPG.
My team is a BRC of Ferrosite and has two years warranty and in the next review I plan to raise it. I prefer that to an additive that does not have very good reputation out there and also my car is not on the list of those who need it.
At the moment the problems I had have been solved, first purging the cooling circuit something that they did not do after installation and caused me a temperature rise to run out of water. Solved after putting the caulfaction a good time and filling. The problem has not been repeated again. It gives the impression that there is not too much experience in this LPG.
Fortunately there was no problem of understanding or anything similar.
Since they did the first review at 20,000 installed, the LPG is going well although from time to time the remembers return to Relay, but since I do not circulate through the city I already got used to it and I do not give it too much importance.
They cleaned the admission line and changed LPG filter and I don't know if they did something else but now it goes better and I haven't had problems again.

At the moment this additive

to clean gasoline valve seats (half of what they recommend) and gasoline circle about 500 km every 3 or 4,000 approx.
The car progressively improves when you keep gasoline a few hundred kilometers and when passing it again, it also shows that it goes better than before.

I have about 30,000 km with LPG in a year and for the moment the experience - except what the commented - is good.
Thanks for your interest.

Do you also be BRC representatives?
I understand that Ferrosite does not allow its franchises to install other brands.

Manual-Mecanica Response on the problem with Subaru Forester to LPG
We were the first BRC assemblers in the Barcelona area, we came to mount more than 100 teams in a year, unfortunately the Ferrosite address is not ....... in short it is not worth it.
In any case, we continue to attend to our clients, since components are obtained out of Epaña, even cheaper than asking them for the Spanish distributor.
On the other hand, BRC must be among the best teams, although it has the software something older than Landirenzo.
I will send you information but the BRC program to apply gasoline converts savings into little. The subject is in a few millise to certain revolutions and each number of revolutions (every so often)
Greetings.

Manual-Mecanica Response on the problem with Subaru Forester to LPG
Hello friends, first apologize for the time that has passed. I tell you my experience with the 2008 Forester adapted to LPG:
1º The cooling problems were solved by cleaning the radiator that was stuck and the refrigerant did not circulate more than a minimum part.

Important was also- and I recommend it- to replace special blue refrigerant that recommends sub-collide and that lasts 220.00 km the first time and 110,000 successive.

Apparently, radiator's cells are so thin to avoid a larger radiator and must carry special refrigerant, otherwise they are very easily stuck. I have not had refrigeration problems since then and I have about 50,000 kms that previously chained every 30,000 and did not avoid the problem.

2nd 128,000 kms and after 70,000 km to LPG, a valve was cracked and as a consequence we made it engine and put special valves for LPG, they had valve seats that were really bad and not so much the valves apart from the exhaust that broke. What was also wrong were the pushers of the valves that had lost their tolerance as they told me.

After the intervention, I have been fable; Throw more and better than new.

Eye with adapt to LPG certain type of engines. The engine must be in perfect condition with optimal gasoline operation, the installation must be very careful and the final adjustment is essential.

I tell you Paar qeu know and thank your help with the consultations.
