Toyota Corolla Avila Problems with front train published by Manual-Mecanica
Good afternoon friends My problem is the following I have a Toyota Corolla Year 86 Automatic Carburado which one day began to sound in the part of the left front wheel (pilot). The noise was like metal with very strong metal and wear, I thought they were the brakes but it was not the case comes from the entrance of the triceta cup and the box the problem is that I am confused because many people tell me that it is the box and another tells me that it is the cup but I do not know what to do.

In my little mechanical experience I manage to disarm the full tripoid and take out the cup that goes to the box (which came out very easily) and the truth does not see it wear and internally where it goes the same I do not see any wear either.

do you ??? I do not know but the car Boto all the oil in the box and no idea of what it can be.

If someone can help me

Did you take the inner cup side box? is the interior homocinetic? If there is no visible wear of the cup striatum with respect to the box, then you can check the triceta have how it goes, it is best to change it to get out of doubt is cheaper than the cash repair, anyway put oil in the box so that it does not sound and if it is usually automatic they do not get noise no only work, I lean on the paliar side.

Sorry I forgot if it sounds more when folding then is the homocinetic of the wheel tip, or wheel side, checks its status as well as that of the mass bearing.

Thanks for the contribution.

The triceta bought it new and changed as well as the tip that goes to the wheel.

My big doubt is that in my opinion I do not see wear in the triceta cup anyway I will change it to discard but if it really were the box I should not be completely damaged.

I say it because the box works perfectly, well at least the changes (automatic) do them very well.

I insist so much because the first option is bothers the mechanics before checking thoroughly is to change the full box because it supposedly has damaged the gear that makes the wheel rotate.

It is possible that the box is bad ????

Thanks as always.

That is what I tell you takes the cup to see if the inner striatum is damaged.
