What failure does a VSS sensor do? Posted by manual-mecanica
It is possible that these failures are related to the speed sensor in a Renault Clio 1.6 2003.

It does not mark speed or sometimes if, the engine is turned off when braking, vces tends to slightly lose some strength by accelerating or giving a slight jalon.
I think yes, someone who confirms me.

Manual-Mecanica response on the subject that fails presents a vss sensor?
Well I answer myself.
Looking for there is the SGTE information, I copy textually.

The velocimeter needle of the Renault Megane, Kangoo and Clio falls.

There is a problem with several vehicles of the Renault brand that present the following fault: en route, suddenly the velocimeter needle falls to zero. The car loses some speed and strength. But it still works. After a while he recovers alone. Sometimes it is solved by releasing the accelerator and accelerating again. Rara Ves does it in city and is more noticeable when it goes on a route.
The strange thing about this failure is that the velocimetro goes to zero.

This failure is produced by the velocimetro speed sensor in the gearbox.
This system is not like the acquaintance who carries a cable (known as the velocimeter gut), which goes from the gearbox to the velocimeter.

In the Renault it is an electronic sensor that sends a signal to the black box and from this send signal to the velocimeter.
When there is a sensor failure, the black box interprets that the vehicle goes at low speed and adjusts the fuel injection so that the motor produces torque and not speed. (Source www.taringa.net/ )

In my case I only moved the plug and began to function the velocimetter. But I'm going to get said sensor better.

greetings.

Better late than never apologize for the delay of the solution disarmament the vss cleaned it and the fault followed. Persistent I took it again and resold all connections again and luckily it was specifically
