Help overheating

Hello friends I am rabul, I am worried since my Chevy gets hot, when walking for about 2 hours the fan stop working and the temperature rises a lot because of that I have to let it cool for more or less 1/2 hour and then I continue walking and the fan begins to function normal what can it be? They could guide me since I don't want it to be overheated in advance, thank you for a thousand. SSS Rabul.

I need you to make more of what car model we are talking about, if the fan drive is electric or if on the contrary it carries the engine longitudinally and the fan is operated by the water pump strap, alternator, assisted steering pump and air conditioning.
