First of all you should check if the truck has automatic hitch or free wheel manual.
If it is manual, before activating the double traction you must get off the vehicle and turn the free wheel hitch, located in each of the front wheels, throughout the center of the axis.
If it is automatic hitch, some cars do not require more than selecting the type of traction you want and hook or unravel automatically, others have a button either on the board or next to the selector shift levers, which must be oppressed. Usually on the instrument board, a witness shows the 4 wheels either in scheme or with the 4WD letters.
The double traction has 4 positions: 2h - N - 4h - 4l
logically if it is placed in n (neutral) the car does not put so on any change. The auxiliary lever should be in any of the other positions if you want me to walk.
Position 2h (2hight - two high speed wheels) is the normal position where the car walks with traction in the rear wheels. It is used in paved or paved road.
The 4h position (4hight - 4 high speed wheels) makes the car work with 4 -wheel drive and cash ratios are identical to those made by the car in 2h. It is ulitized on unpaved roads but in passable conditions over 40 km/h.
The 4L position (4low - 4 wheels low speed) causes the vehicle to work with 4 -wheel drive but with the difference that multiplies the cash ratio (it feels like tied) in such a way that the car has maximum traction, torque and power at low speeds, below 40 km/h. It is ulitized on roads or outside them in very precarious conditions.
When you want to return to the normal position 2H, you must deactivate the free wheel hitch to prevent the front wheels when turning drag the axes and the front differential unnecessarily. When you unwill or automatically, you must walk back about 2 meters. This for the axis wheel to be released. In some vehicles you can hear a metallic sound \ "clang \" indicating that it has been unwilling.
If you do not undertake to use the double much it is advisable that you do it periodically so that all the pieces work and do not deteriorate.
Any questions with pleasure.
