Ford Focus 2000 synchronization problem published by Manual-Mecanica
Hello friends, I present myself, my name is Rafael and it is a pleasure to belong to this type of pages that come to help us greatly in our doubts and problems my problem is the following about two months ago I had to change the synchronization or time belt strip because it is contaminated by oil by a retainer that damages the mechanic, the meadic change the border the tensioner some seals etc but now that it did the job when the vehicle did to me. I already changed regular gasoline to special but it follows the same thing will be that the mechanic could not leave the engine synchronized or what happened ???? I told myself that I had no manual to put it ready then I have reached the point that the mechanic did not do a good job but we do not have a scheme of how this is my engine is Zetec 2.0 dohc if someone would provide me with the information or the diagram of how that vehicle is put on synchronization will appreciate them

Manual-Mecanica Response on the problem with Ford Focus 2000 synchronization
Friend has to put a piston in PMS and the camshafts on the opposite side The synchronizing strap have a gutter each that has to stay in horizontal position to introduce a tool that keeps them in place (you can make it yourself with an iron plate) and thus the engine is synchronized. Luck.

Manual-Mecanica Response on the problem with Ford Focus 2000 synchronization
You may have damaged valves if the draft is very outdated ... This engine (at least 1.4 Zetec) does not carry a key on als pulleys, not even in the crankshaft ... as the fellow Ariell2000 tells you See measuring the hole of spark plug No. 1 with a king's foot (eg). That there is luck and they are not touched valves !!!
