Box failure

I am having a problem with my car is a mitsubishi galant year 2000 engine 2.4, automatic, the problem that is being given is to accelerate it at 4000 rpm so that it can make the change the box does not matter if it is in d or 1 the same happens with each change. This only happens being the cold car, with the hot engine the changes makes them normal
