Ford Focus anomalo operation published by Manual-Mecanica
Hello good afternoon, I would like to comment on the anomalous functioning of my car. It is a Ford Focus 1.6 cc 16 V, of the year 2000, gasoline. Well, what happens to him is that when I put 5th and I go at a speed between 90 and 100 km/h, sometimes an obvious low, the velocimetro and accounting are lowered and the screen is blank, this can last second or some days, and recovers as is, without touching anything or varying anything. I don't know what may be due, so if anyone knows something or guiding me at least it would be very grateful ..

Manual-Mecanica Response On the Operation Ford Focus Operation
For starting to look, it squeezes the battery connections, especially the mass cable to the chassis or the engine, because what you say that it is "blank" the screen is as if it failed electricity (a bad contact of some loose, dirty mass ..) that also affects the rest (Ecu, gasoline pump etc.)

Manual-Mecanica Response On the Operation Ford Focus Operation
I would tell you that I don't think it has much to do with the defect in relation to the march or speed. It may be produced in those cases due to some resonant alive that is generated circulating to those values but that in reality it would seem to be rather a typical electrical defect of defective connections. Normally these defects are quite difficult to solve until they become continuous since a single sulfated contact can go crazy. With patience you could solve disassembling rifle and board contacts and on each tab performing cleaning with a product normally called Contamatic. It is a solvent dielectric in aerosol that cleans contacts. Greetings and luck
