Cherokee 1985 Starter problems published by Manual-Mecanica
The starter engine was already changed, an automatic and several .... The problem goes more or less like this: when the ignition key is until the end (ignition), starts, accelerates, decelerate, etc., but immediately loose, stop working .... On the recommendation of my electrician, I made a bridge between the positive battery pole and the positive pole of the coil, to my surprise, when I make contact, I do not turn on, it does not stop working ... keep working without problems .... the suggestion made it to reach the workshop and make the corresponding diagnosis and obviously repair it.

Like many, I am already arto that with each visit to the electric, I have to spend a money to have my car running for a weeks ... I would like to fix the problem for myself. What do I give me a hand?

Without a doubt it is the drum of the starter key. The replacement is of medium complexity. If you are doing the bridge and works and if you keep the key tight to the end it also works, it is evident that it is the contact that the arramque key drum has. Greetings and luck.
