Ford Focus problem published by Manual-Mecanica
Hello, a friend of mine has a 2002 focus more or less, bought in 2003 from the Ford.
It has problems with the instrument box, the Km account and counting revolutions do not go and from time to time they go up and follow.
This problem happens sometimes, not continuous.

I have read a message in the forum of a similar problem they had with the RadioCaset. Can you come from having changed the radiocast of the house for another?

How can I buy it?
Is there any page where can you download the electric explodes of this model?
Or does anyone have it to happen to me?

I await your help and thank you very much

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Problem with Ford Focus of 2002
From what your friend has changed the original radio for another.
Indeed, initially, there are the problem. The original radio that mounts the Focus has diagnosis and is connected via Can-Bus with the gateway that goes in the picture, in addition to one of the signals that reaches the radius is the speed signal to increase the volume as it increases.
The solution to this problem is to cancel the Radio CAN line. For this you have to look for two cables in the radio connector that are braided to each other. Join them with a resistance of 120 omhnios and with this the problem should be solved.
If not, homemade checks there are none, since a diagnostic terminal will have to be connected and diagnosed the instrumentation.

All the best.

Thanks for answering so fast. Enefect, apparently they changed it in the workshop here of the town. Can you be more concise and tell me what cables are they? Numbering, colors, something that helps me identify.

The one taken to several workshops with diagnosis and in none have known what it is since they give a few possibilities and of course, they do not want to change anything without knowing if that is sure because they say it is very expensive.

Thank you very much for the help.

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Problem with Ford Focus of 2002
Hello, the same thing happened to me in a focus of 2000, but I also stopped a couple of times while I walked, with the scare that took me to run out of assisted direction in the middle of the curve.

Try one thing: in the battery positive cable there are two cables, one more thin, follow and make sure it makes good contact, clean the connectors with coal counters and reprimand the screw if necessary. Between two people one inside to check the countpm and another was moving the cable, if after cleaning the needle continues to replace the cable.

It has not happened to me after doing this. Good luck and greetings!

Thank you. The truth is that standing does not stop, nor fail the assisted address. Out of curiosity, did you take it to workshops?
And, where is the cable going? What controls?
The problem to buy the connections with the needles is that it does not always fail, so it has to give the chance of coinciding.
Thank you
