Manual-Mecanica response on the topic cylinder cover
There are no notable advantages in increasing the compression but is accompanied by other modifications, set up on the ignition, increased fuel flow and its octane, etc.
By increasing the compression, due to a physical phenhetics, the temperature of the combustion Càmara will also increase and there will be detonation (early and violent combustion) with the clinical bell I will be in the same situation as when I was original.

Manual-Mecanica response on the topic cylinder cover
I am with the partner Charlypzz as soon as the temperature problems that could occur when the compression that you could solve by changing thermostat is cooked for another cold Piston to the valves ... if they do not touch and there is margin, then go ahead, greater octane gasoline and see how. Greetings!!
