clutch problems published by Manual-Mecanica
Hello, it is the first time I write; I tell you to change a clutch disk of a Renault Express and now I see that the changes enter all but the march behind when the car is off but I cannot place any march when it is on I understand that the clutch drive cable is authorship by means of a zipper. The clutch feels considerably softer. Place the same oil that removes the losses between emptying and filling from the box. It would seem like not raging enough. Thanks: blink:

Manual-Mecanica response on the Re: clutch problems
Hello, it is good that you tell us if you only changed the clutch (disc) or on the contrary you changed the entire kit (maza, buté, disc and the cable)

Manual-Mecanica response on the Re: clutch problems
In the Renault Express, the cable is not tense alone, you have to tighten it manually. To do this, the following must be done:

In the gearbox, the end of the clutch cable is placed on the drive lever, you have to pull the tip of the cable with the help of pliers or jaws to see how much dead route we have left.

Then you have to loosen a nut and contractor that carries the threaded end of the cable and proceed to adjust them until in the cable there is no dead route.

Once this is done, from the driver's post, the pedal is seen to see how it has been, (sometimes it

is

necessary Hydraulic clutch .

Manual-Mecanica response on the Re: clutch problems
Mega in the Express comes self -regulatable for the least in my Argentine country has no nuts or against nuts at the tip of the side of the box is fixed there are some reforms. But very little are used. The problem it has if it does not have nuts (I do not know how it will be) is the authentic pedal. If it has no nuts it answers and I tell you how to regulate it.

Manual-Mecanica response on the Re: clutch problems
Valeeeeeee !! I have brought me down ... (it is not good to confuse Citroën and Renault)

The adjustment of the cable is on the same clutch pedal, it consists of a crescent with tooth that is on the tip of the pedal, on which the head of the clutch cable is mounted.

To adjust the mechanism, if you have disassembled or changed the cable, the first thing is to release the dock that permantently throws from the medium -shaped toothed sector and move the crescent back until the trustee of the adjustment mechanism is at the beginning of the teeth (the pedal will be very unstressed yet).

Put the clutch cable head in the lodging of the toothed sector (in case it has left) and turn the toothed sector on the ratchet until the entire dead route is exhausted. Then put the dock back in place and step on the clutch several times.

The dock will finish turning the toothed sector on the adjustment ratchet.

The journey that the clutch fork must have from when it is at rest until the completely treaded pedal is 17 to 18 mm measured at the tip of it.

All the best.
