Peugeot 306 supercharged by Manual-Mecanica
Hello,

I have a Peugeot 306 XR 8 Model Valves '94 and I think to overcome it by means of a super -recorder or a turbocharger, I still don't know. I am collecting experiences for assembly.

Does anyone already oversize this type of vehicle ??? And what was the pressure to which they took him without making any modification to the engine.

Thank you so much

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Peugeot 306 supercharged
You are going to put yourself in a fairly difficult garden ...

The turbo that mounts the XU9Dte D9B engine overheats the engine at 1 bar, and that engine develops 94 hp DIN.

The problem comes because that engine carries an injection pump different from that of the XUD9A, (atmospheric) since it carries the flow ram lung depending on the collector pressure and your engine does not carry it.

Another theme is the diameter of the bolts of the pistons, the XUD9A has 25 millimeter bolts and the XU9Dte of 28 millimeters to support the greatest efforts.

Injectors and compression precááras are different, in the turbodiesel the injectors open to 175 bar and the bomb is Bosch, and in the atmospheric they open to 130 and the team is Lucas Cav. You also need to mechanize the thread for the grease of the turbo, and change the admission and escape collectors

really do not think it is a good idea because if you overlapping that engine, the pump goes to dose less diesel of the account and the injection point does not go to be exactly the right one, so it is possible that I throw white smoke (pump delay). If you advance it and increase the pump flow (specialized workshop work) the engine will perform practically the same as the endless, but when facing mountain ports or altitudes on sea level, it will begin to throw a lot of black smoke due to excess of gasoline flow and lack of air (it does not compensate the lung of the pump because it does not have it).

It is better to change the engine, or undress a gripado turbodic and \ "remaster \" yours (changing cranks, pistons, button, injectors ...)

I hope I have helped you.
All the best.

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Peugeot 306 supercharged
You are right about the injection pump and the injectors, which had already thought of changing them for others (the pump for a pump of greater flow and possibly pressure for a Borg Warner and the injectors for others of greater flow some dense Nippon); To regulate and avoid the high consumption and rich mixtures that produce black smoke as you said, I planned to put a Vortex FMU, I have not yet calculated the Pressure Vs. increase relationship. gasoline.

The compression relationship surely falls to 8: 1 to work the turbo to a 5PSI pressure.

Obviously the escape multiple will redesign it and it is the most complicated due to the disposition of the motor and the space available. The same for the multiple of admission since I must install the intercooler and possibly have to remove the arie conditioning.

For oil lubriacion I only need a return of the carter, something not very complicated.

I know that in Argentina they have specialized a lot in turbocharging this type of vehicle (306 gasoline) but I have not been able to obtain information from any of them.

Thank you very much for your information and what do you think of this?
