Loose or broken escape collector, obstructed catalyst, beaten or damaged. So that the exhaust gases come out of the breakage gap or between the cylinder head and the collector, or cannot have a good time through the catalyst and generate overpressure inside the tube.
In any case, this would only affect the blown noise you hear, but (there is always a but) taking into account that the Lambda Vá probe Vá threaded in the escape, if the escape is released, or the catalyst is broken the gases leave, the probe sends an erroneous signal to the switchboard and the switchboard makes an incorrect engine management.
This can turn on the fault light.
My advice is that you remove the protector on the exhaust collector and take a look at the collector, the catalyst and the joints. If you see Black of Hollin somewhere, it is an unequivocal symptom that gases are getting out (for example when a asparagus is broken from those who close the escape cones). Wherever you see black soot is where to accelerate you will notice the blow of gases.
If you do not see anything weird, or loose, get under the car and check that the exhaust tube does not have any porrazo, especially the catalyst, since if you receive any blow, the ceramic bee honeycomb that carries inside is broken and the gases do not circulate correctly.
If this happens, the catalyst after a long road route will literally put red, to the point that it may shine.
If so, it's time to change it to a new one.
All the best.
