Kia Carens lost power published by Manual-Mecanica
Hello:
please help, I have a Kia Carens year 2005, and has lost power, what can it be? It turns out that the thing is complicated, it does not take power and when accelerated it has a strong noise of blowing in the engine, it is a blow as a loss of compression somewhere Filter, air filter, benzine filter but the problem persists, has no loss of any liquid anywhere, and has 55,000 km routes.
I appreciate any help to this problem.

If the problem begins when the changes the first thing you can rebuild is that the fuel filter is not installed to the reverse, that is, against the fuel flow, that first, if not already opened that seeing the measure of the cylinder compression to discard the joint, but you have that first to be safe.

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Kia Carens theme lost power
Loose or broken escape collector, obstructed catalyst, beaten or damaged. So that the exhaust gases come out of the breakage gap or between the cylinder head and the collector, or cannot have a good time through the catalyst and generate overpressure inside the tube.

In any case, this would only affect the blown noise you hear, but (there is always a but) taking into account that the Lambda Vá probe Vá threaded in the escape, if the escape is released, or the catalyst is broken the gases leave, the probe sends an erroneous signal to the switchboard and the switchboard makes an incorrect engine management.

This can turn on the fault light.

My advice is that you remove the protector on the exhaust collector and take a look at the collector, the catalyst and the joints. If you see Black of Hollin somewhere, it is an unequivocal symptom that gases are getting out (for example when a asparagus is broken from those who close the escape cones). Wherever you see black soot is where to accelerate you will notice the blow of gases.

If you do not see anything weird, or loose, get under the car and check that the exhaust tube does not have any porrazo, especially the catalyst, since if you receive any blow, the ceramic bee honeycomb that carries inside is broken and the gases do not circulate correctly.

If this happens, the catalyst after a long road route will literally put red, to the point that it may shine.

If so, it's time to change it to a new one.

All the best.

Brilliant megabeat_1:
It was the Catalitical, I tell you a mechanic got down with a laser to measure temperature, and in reality there was a very important t ° Delta, the Catalitian and holy remedy was changed, the ceramic honeycomb was broken, I think it has to be beaten, I will be more careful in the future.
