Manual-Mecanica Answer on the Re: Seat Toledo 1.8 16V Hot Starting Failure
Hello, my car passed something similar, had the starting engine and repair it since when you warm up, it loses strength, the alternator may also need a maintenance.

Manual-Mecanica Answer on the Re: Seat Toledo 1.8 16V Hot Starting Failure
It smells a lot of gasoline and pulls black smoke when trying to start it hot?

I need to know what year the car is to see the type of injection it carries, anyway, if it is a 1.8 16V of the ancients, it will carry injection K Jetronic or Ke Jetronic. You will know that when you open the hood you see the four red plastic tubes exit to the side of the air filter and go to the injectors.

If it is this type of injection, I am going to pass you some links so as not to write the same again and again ok?.

one is 505 and the other is from a Mercedes 300, both with K Jetronic injection system, the data on fuel pressure can vary. The rest of the checks is the same.

Another thing, have you reviewed the high cables, spark plugs and distributor cover? Because I had a move with a Toledo 1.8 16V and it was because the cables were wrong and the spark jumped around the spark plugs.

All the best.

Hello, thank you for answering. Carbonilla but I have been still for a year and I still tell me to take it to the Seat and they put it in the machine but to see if it will come out more in handle k the deck. The spark plugs are also changed by K told me to me could be a spark problem but it looks like and did not check the cables and the distributor of the distributor as it tells me, but I see it difficult.

If it is the Toledo of 140 hp it does not carry diagnosis because the injection is totally mechanical. So in the SEAT they do not come to complicate the beard, they start to change pieces and to see if the donkey touches the flute (it is the bad thing of this trade, that there are more and more people who change pieces without knowing if they are wrong or not, and without knowing if they can be repaired).

Then they tell you stories that it is because the car goes by city or that if you give it a lot of shoe or such ... (because they do not know what happens to you and they will not tell you that clear).

Delco's high and lid cables is one of the first things to look at when you have a problem, in addition, if there are ignition failures, there are explosions by escape, so simple, hot motor, gasoline that does not burn inside it burns, especially when reducing, and that car did not give a single explosion by escape (I have already repaired some like yours).

If it fails when starting hot, it is possible that the \ "regulator of the heating phase \" is damaged, or that or the distributor dosing (which goes next to the air filter, which carries a lot of red tubes).

If you have any colleague that controls well of mechanics, with the posts that I have linked to you, you can look one by one all the components of the injection until they give in the wound, regardless of whether they tell you that they have changed you I do not know what because such and Pascual and Juan and Juan and Manuela ... the first thing is to look at everything step by step and from scratch.

All the best.
