P0505 Pathfinder '99 published by Manual-Mecanica
I changed the blow sensor (Knock Sensor) of a pathfinder '99 engine 3.3l, because suddenly it went out and cost a lot to start again and that marked the scanner; But now it goes out sometimes and turns on again, but it marks the P0505 code, which is a malfunction of idle control, the problem is that it does not bring the IAC in the acceleration body, can anyone tell me where the IAC is located? Or any possible solution?

Thanks anticipated.

Jose Marcos.

Manual-Mecanica Answer on the Re: P0505 Pathfinder '99
The IAC valves always go to the acceleration body, there are several different types, what happens is that they change in their Magneti Marelli form, the Ford, the mazdas, but they always go there, look well and you will find it, I do not know served where your model brings it but in the manual it appears to appear, to differentiate it from the TPS, only look for the one that does not connect with the matiposa and now, but it is very large, but I already have a great question. The Scaner said or they only told you, I ask you, because the IACs are actuators and not sensors, they are not detected by the Scaner.

Thanks for your answer, I already solved the problem; If it is not the IAC, it is something that controls the slowdown, and is located in the back of the admission plenum, very hidden.
He had disconnected, I think I did not plug it well and how I ordered the engine to wash, so that it was disconnected.
I already connect it by making sure that this time I click the connector insurance.
The witness has not been turned on again and works well.
