starting problems published by Manual-Mecanica
Greetings to the forum! I need an indication to try to start a cold diessel engine, using two 12 volts batteries, so that when you connect it 18 volts, since with 24 volts, it is possible to damage the starter. Therefore, I would appreciate the way of making the connection I need, Atte. January62 :)

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Starting Problems
Hello, I don't know if the vehicle uses 2 batteries, if so, there is no problem in placing the 12 v batteries. First, what must be taken into account is that the battery must be at least 60 aamperes for this vehicle the other is that when starting you have to only contact and on the board appears a ssímbol as a spiral when it is turned off. The problem can be in the incandescent spark plugs used by oil tankers, since these after a while they burn and cause starting problems. You have to check these spark plugs and change the burns.
