4-cylinder perkins motor problem published by Manual-Mecanica
Hello, as the title says problems with my Perkins 4, it is installed in a truck that I bought a few days ago with a fault that in my opinion was a valve consulting with another Perkins user told me you have a locking nozzle. Remove the injectors and take them to the one of a firefighter where in the bank it was verified that evidently the injector that we had marked as the one that failed was the lobby tob. 4 new Bosch brand nozzles were installed and the injector was calibrated in 140 kg settled and the fault was still there and not only that the change of nozzles had not modified anything. Back to the firefighter I advance it a little and it failed almost disappeared but in the morning it cost him a lot to start, so again to delay it, the injectors were controlled again and everything ok, the fault is not a valve, it is not the spark plug that loses, the valve light is the right one or I do not know that it can have even the firefighter. So if anyone has a lot of experience with the Perkins and can give me a welcome hand.

Manual-Mecanica response on the problem with 4-cylinder perkins motor
Hi AngelDerelew, I suppose the injector tarado is 140 bar and they are all equally, they all work well and there is none to be "grabbed", you should measure the returns of the injectors to see if there are differences or all work the same. Also measure the compression to the cylinders, it is not that anyone walks down the issue of wear etc. For the valve issue you say that they are fine (that close well in the seats) apart from the adjustment. I have to think that the pump is not well open at its point, (degrees of initial advance) that it costs to start; Another thing that would look is the transfer pump if it works well and does not fail in the injector supply or you have any air intake in the aspiration line ... if without seeing it it is difficult to tell you. Give us some more facts, for example if the bomb it has mounted is online or has put a rotary in its place, the smoke that is running when it is working, the symptoms of irregular functioning, beating, etc.
