Piston rupture and nissan ga16dne cylinder published by Manual-Mecanica
Nissan V16 (Tsuru) Ga16dne Motor
began with small noise like valve or taqui (although this model does not carry). I started after 25mil km having made full motor adjustment. Well the noise was increasing, I was checking it with engine running when it suddenly became stronger and the engine went out. Compression was lost in cylinder 1 I loot the spark plug and the piston is broken full of water. Motor disarmament The piston was broken in 2 and the cylinder started from there the water. The connecting rod metals look good what you notice is that the piston was colliding with the cylinder head (Head Cylinder/cylinder head) from AHI came the noise. There are no folded or beaten valves. The engine did not consume oil or increased everything well. My question is going to cause that I was crashing the piston with the cylinder head and it was only No. 1, I imagine that the piston became trizas by the entrance submit from water to the cylinder. When the PSITON measurement measurement of std was rectified at 0.50 Rod metals and std bench at 0.25. Some comment.

Manual-Mecanica Response on the topic Piston Break and Nissan Ga16DNE cylinder
Hi Wal7er, to the question of why the piston will collide with the cylinder head, it is the usual: the hunning cap "left" for several reasons that are usually lack of lubrication, poorly rectified from the crankshaft or bad choice of the thickness of the connecting rod cap. If the connecting rod doll has been ovalized for some of these reasons, there comes a time when it goes more and more and ... taca-taca-ta ... and ... it is already known, the connecting rod by the side of the block (it was the final result of a Renault F9Q), or full engine change before it was more ... (This was a 1ZZ Celica Toyota which I no longer had the cap ...).
When this "sound" is heard and they have been proven that it is not taques, you have to disassemble carter and check the slack of connecting rods to be able to remedy before it is too late and see the reason if it is for ovalized or lack of pressing of grease, it does not serve to change the cap as it will go again. Greetings!!

Manual-Mecanica Response on the topic Piston Break and Nissan Ga16DNE cylinder
Before that nothing thanks ismael53 for taking the time to respond. Well end up disarming full engine and what you tell me is right. First time I checked an engine with this sound that seemed a simple sound, but catastrophic. Well everything again to the rectifier this time will change everything. Greetings
