Chevrolet Spark 1.0 Published by Manual-Mecanica
Good night people! Tomorrow they bring me to the workshop a Chevr Spark that a client bought and I have commented that the engine between gear change is taken. A mechanic of the consequence had told me that this is a factory defect. I would like to have your opinion. thank you ;)

Manual-Mecanica Answer on the Re: Chevrolet Spark 1.0
Recently I had a conversation with a Chevrolet concessionary technician, it told me that this acceleration is a strategy that some new models with manual transmission have to avoid 'kicks' in the clutch and conserve its useful life for a longer time, simulating the double clutch technique that is carried out in competition, clarifying that the time that the clutch pedal is chosen is not superior to 2 or 3 sec.
It makes sense, since it accelerates the engine when it is unchanged from the transmission so that when engaging the engine speeds and transmission again are similar.
If you have more doubts, in the Chevrolet consent they give management classes for new vehicles. If your client still has the guarantee, you can request it.

I hope it serves something!
All the best!

Manual-Mecanica Answer on the Re: Chevrolet Spark 1.0
I understand the same as Andres only that in some engines it is more noticeable than in others and that is why it is striking, but it is not bad or produces an extra fuel expense or anything. Anyway when a vehicle does that usually check the TPS and the clutch that is not spoiled, of course this last in vehicles with hydraulic clutch does not feel like anything. Good luck and all those who know about this issue that is new to post their commentary since it is a feedback for all mechanics and communicate people who start in this forum. Hugs and luck

Manual-Mecanica Answer on the Re: Chevrolet Spark 1.0
Good people! On the acceleration between changes, it is normal, it is for the drunk to acion better. The issue is that the car in the workshop with 58000kms is rented is at 1300/1600rpm all the time. When scanning it, it does not present failures. The point in the distribution strap is correct, the butterfly body is clean and looks to take the key. The funny thing is that in relief in the scanner (-35GRADOS ADVANCES) by accelerating Avansa A (+) and always marks that the engine is in charge. They are going to bring me another spark and I'm going to change the butterfly body. Then I tell you
