Lexus presents in the Detroit Motor Show the new IS model that will be launched in Europe in June 2013 and will be available in two motorizations: 2.5 New generation hybrid and 2.5 V6 gasoline.
The new lexus is follows the design lines l Finals introduced with the launch of GS and LS. However, it introduces a new evolution of the front grill, with a more powerful presence and a strong brand identity. The frontal design incorporates as a novelty, the design of the headlights and diurnal driving lights located independently.
In profile, an ascending line flows from the bottom of the body to the rear headlights, adding additional elegance and dynamism.
The rear has its own personality, with revolutionary design optics, identified with the L of Lexus, and with a rear diffuser that improves aerodynamics. In the hybrid version the escapes remain hidden.
The new IS grows in 80 mm length compared to the current version, 5 mm in height, and 10 mm in width. The battle increases 70 mm. The total measures of the lexus IS are 4,665 meters in length; 1,430 meters high; 1,810 meters wide and 2,800 meters away between axes
Interior design of the new lexus
The interior of the new lexus is is conceived for the driver to be in an ergonomic environment. The new driver's seat design offers greater comfort and greater lateral support. The driving position was reduced for a more dynamic driving.
The central console incorporates as a novelty in Lexus, electrostatic switches for a tactile control of the air conditioner.
As for the Easpace, the new IS has a greater wheelbase and is wider, to provide greater comfort in the rear seats and allow greater capacity in the trunk. The knee space in the rear area has increased by 85mm the knee space.
The new lexus IS, and in particular the IS 300h hybrid model, offers an excellent trunk capacity, thanks to the optimization of battery size. In addition, its installation under the trunk allows the rear seats to be folding (60:40), improving the usefulness of the vehicle.
Driving dynamics in the lexus is

The F Sport design is available in both gasoline and hybrid versions. It has specific design characteristics and is equipped with dynamic improvements such as suspension. Inside, the F Sport models exclusively have an innovative LFA inspiration box, with the sliding ring to access the menus.
The engines of the lexus
is in the new IS -range, there will be an IS300 h hybrid version, and a version of IS 250 gasoline.
The IS 300h will be the main model in the IS range in Spain, rear -wheel drive with a maximum power of 220CV, an average mixed consumption of 4.3 liters / 100 km, and CO2 emissions of less than 100 g, although these data have not yet been permanently approved. This model combines a powerful new development electric motor (2.5 liters and four ATKINSON cycle gasoline cylinders) with a new D-4S fuel injection system and intelligent VVT-I Dual Valve opening system.
The hybrid passee has been specifically developed for the 2.5L front engine with rear traction, with a compact design. A two -speed reduction system similar to that of GS 450h (for maximum acceleration at low speed, high speed performance) allows linear acceleration.
The new IS will also be available in the IS 250 version with rear traction and 2.5 -liter V6 gasoline engine.
The security of the lexus is
