The new Porsche 911 GT3 RS is equipped with the maximum degree of competition technology, but is also approved for road and suitable for daily driving.

With a time per tour of seven minutes and twenty seconds, the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS exceeds the historical record of the Support Face GT, which was in seven minutes and twenty -nine seconds.

The 911 GT3 RS is propelled by a six -cylinder and four liter engine, with 500 horsepower and 480 Newton/meter of maximum pair, combined with a PDK transmission. This engine makes the car accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 10.9. Its average fuel consumption is 12.7 l/100 km. It incorporates special functions such as running through "neutral cams" (which is comparable to pressing the clutch in a conventional manual gearbox) and the speed limiter by means of the Pit Speed button, adapted for the use in competition.

The 911 GT3 RS is also lighter. His roof is magnesium; The carbon fiber is used for the engine and the trunk hood. Other light components are made of alternative materials. Thus, the RS model is ten kilos lighter than the Porsche 911 GT3. On the other hand, that roof lowers the center of gravity of Deportivo, which improves its excellent lateral dynamism.

The body is that of 911 turbo and accentuates its appearance to that of a racing car, thanks to the addition of specific aerodynamic pieces of the RS. The lip of the front spoiler, which lengthens until almost touching the road, and the great rear spoiler reinforce its sporting appearance. A 30 -centimeter low reduction extends along the central part of the hood and the magnesium ceiling, in a stylistic wink to the cleft of the classic 911 models, with air -refrigerated engines.

Another distinctive feature is the ventilation duct of the front wheel steps, which extends to the top of the fins, as in pure competition cars. This increases aerodynamic load on the front axle.

The 911 GT3 RS chassis has been tuned to increase its precision. The directional rear axle and the Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, with an autoblocant differential on the rear axle, increase the agility of the Porsche 911 GT3 rs. In addition, the greatest width of both axes provides greater stability than that of 911 GT3, something that is accentuated by the use of wider tires than any other Porsche 911 serial model.

The interior design of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS

The Porsche 911 GT3 RS has several elements in Alcántara and is based on the current 911 GT3. As a novelty, it incorporates Bacquet seats, based on the carbon seats used in 918 Spyder.

The 911 GT3 RS incorporates the Club Sport package as standard, which has a safety arches screwed behind the front seats, the preparation to put a cortorient, a six -point safety belt for the driver and the extinguisher with its assembly support (these last two elements are offered separately).

In addition, the Sport Chrono package that incorporates in addition to the integrated chronometers, the Porsche Track Precision application for smartphones can be set up. The Reck Precision app can be used to automatically measure the times by return, through GPS, and to record the data of various driving parameters on the smartphone, such as vehicle speed, lateral acceleration or accelerations and seizures and decelerations in the direction of the march.

With this application, the driver can manage the data and share them and compare them with those of other pilots.

The 911 GT3 RS is now available and the first units will arrive in May 2015. The final price in Spain is 208,509 euros.
