The concept car number 9 bases its silhouette on the concept of 'brake shooting', while introducing a new identity on the front, designed to use the 'full-hbrid plug-in' technology. This concept car presents the following benefits: 50 km of autonomy in electric mode, 295 hp, 'Boost' function, 39 g/km of CO2.
By merging the proportions of a Coupé and those of a break, number 9 has tense lines, a long hood and a very low body (its height is 1.27 m), bounded by 21 -inch wheels. It measures 4.93 meters long and 1.94 meters wide, while the battle reaches 3 meters.
Technology
The rechargeable hybrid traction chain is characterized by the implementation of an electric motor on the rear axle. It is a simple and innovative configuration that optimizes its dynamic behavior and motor skills, while ensuring a very contained level of consumption and emissions.
The concept car number 9 combines a thermal engine, gasoline or diesel, depending on each market, with an electric motor located at the back of the rear train of the vehicle, capable of developing a power of 70 hp and a couple of 200 nm. The electric motor receives food from lithium -ion batteries that can be recharged in 3h30 in a domestic power outlet. The model exposed on the occasion of the Beijing Hall uses a 1.6 THP gasoline engine, which offers a power of 225 hp (165 kW) and a 275 nm motor torque.
Thanks to the plug -in hybrid system, the number 9 contributes to the respect of the environment. More especially in urban paths, with the ZEV mode (Zero Issussion Vehicule) that allows completely electrical operation with an autonomy of 50 km; or even on the road when demanding accelerations and decelerations are produced successively since hybrid technology manages to limit consumption by combining the two energy sources. In a highway use, the thermal engine assumes prominence, offering high performance.
The concept number 9 also has micro-hill technology, capable of extinguishing the thermal engine in situations where it is not useful.
When it accelerates thoroughly and more power is required immediately, the “Boost” function associates the thermal motor torque with the electric motor torque to respond with high -level benefits (295 hp), without penalizing consumption (1.7 l/100 km and 39 g/km of CO2). Thus, it goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds and completes the 1,000 meters, from stop, in just 25.3 seconds.
In addition, in moments of maximum demand and in situations of low adhesion, the vehicle uses total traction, with the electric motor by boosting the rear wheels and the thermal engine the front. This 4x4 functionality can be maintained permanently.
Along with the dynamic and environmental benefits, the rechargeable Full-Hbrid technology offers a third advantage: the cabin can be pre-clipped before using the vehicle. For example, the air conditioning system can be activated previously, which guarantees the comfort of the occupants when they are going to rise aboard the vehicle.
