Volkswagen presents the new Beetle Cabrio at the Los Angeles Auto Salon. The new Beetle Cabrio is bigger, powerful, sports and saver, while offering a wider and more muscular appearance with a flatter roof and much more dynamic proportions. In addition, the Beetle Cabrio equips as standard an electrohydraulic hood that opens in just 9.5 seconds, even at speeds of up to 50 km/Hy closes compactly behind the rear seats thus optimizing rear visibility. This model will reach our market in March 2013.
For its part, Volkswagen of America launches one of the most efficient cars in the world: the new Hybrid jetta. The propulsion of this new model is based on a saving and ecological hybrid alliance composed of a turbocharger engine (110 kW /150 hp TSI) and an electric motor of zero emissions (20 kW). The 7 -speed automatic change 'dsg'es the person in charge of transmitting the power to the wheels. The Hybrid jetta not only offers exceptional driving performance (0 - 100 km/h in less than 9 seconds), but also a magnificent consumption rate of only 5.2 l/100 km in combined cycle. This new member of the Jetta range consumes approximately 20% less fuel than any other car of these features equipped with a conventional engine. This Volkswagen Jetta hybrid will arrive in our market in April 2013.
