The Center for Automatic and Robotics (CAR) of the Higher Council for Scientific Research Citroën not manned a journey through the Spanish capital: from El Escorial to Arganda.

To test this type of technology in possible conditions as possible, the test was carried out between conductors outside the experiment, at an average speed of 60km/h.

The march was headed by "Clavileño", a Citroën C3 pluriel, equipped with a GPS and communications via radio, conducted by a human. "Platero", a Citroën C3, followed, guided by a computer, who handled both the steering wheel and brake and accelerator pedals, in addition to calculating the safety distance with "Clavileño."

This vehicle can go to manual driving in case of GPS failure or the radio system or in problematic areas, such as tunnels.
