Volkswagen introduces new engines to improve the efficiency of its range of models, in addition the 1.8 TSI engine of 160 hp equipped in the Passat, the Passat Variant and the Volkswagen CC, reduces its displacement to 1.4, in line with the Downsizing strategy.

The Tiguan range, which incorporates a new engine, the 177 hp TDI (130 kW), which replaces 170 hp (125 kW) and adds greater performance and improvements in consumption and emissions.

This two -liter and 177 hp engine allows Tiguan to reach 200 km/hour, with an acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h of 8.5 seconds and a consumption of only 6 liters of diesel in combined cycle. The Tiguan range also incorporates from now on the possibility of equipping the Tech Xenon package in the T1 finish. This package includes the Park Assist 2.0 assisted parking system, the Dynamic Light Assist, the LANE ASSIST and the Self-Directionable Bi-Xenon headlights.

For its part, the Passat range, Passat Variant and Volkswagen CC reduces the displacement of one of its gasoline engines, TSI 1.8 of 160 hp, which passes to 1.4, both for manual change and for the automatic DSG. This new engine offers a consumption of 5.2 liters at 100 km in combined cycle, along with reduced emissions of 149 grams of CO2 per kilometer.
